Pere Vallès
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Valles joined Scytl in March 2004 after spending most of his professional career in the United States. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Valles was Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of GlobalNet, a NASDAQ publicly-traded telecommunications company headquartered in Chicago. Mr. Valles assisted GlobalNet in becoming one of the leading providers of Voice-over-IP in the world and was instrumental in the successful sale of the company to the Titan Corporation, a NYSE defense company.
At GlobalNet, Mr. Valles was responsible for designing and executing the strategic plan that led to an increase in revenues from US$ 25 million to over US$ 100 million and brought the company to profitability. Previously, Mr. Valles had worked as Senior Manager for KPMG's Mergers & Acquisitions group in Los Angeles and Miami providing financial and strategic consulting services to private equity groups and corporations involved in acquisitions in the United States, Latin America and Europe. During his career at KPMG, Mr. Valles actively participated in more than 20 transactions in the telecommunications and technology areas.
Mr. Valles has a bachelor degree in Economics and a bachelor degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and a MBA (summa cum laude) from Indiana University.

Pablo Sarrias
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Sarrias joined Scytl as EVP of Sales & Marketing in May 2006, after having spent most of his professional career in Germany. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Sarrias was Business Manager at Hewlett-Packard, having responsibility over the OpenView Telecommunications family of software products in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
At Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Sarrias was responsible for designing and executing an international go-to-market plan that led to a sustained increase in revenues of over 30% year over year, being the largest growth ever experienced by this product line.
Previously, Mr. Sarrias worked as Senior Solution Architect at Hewlett-Packard and DaimlerChrysler Information Services, and as Senior Network Project Planner at Amadeus Data Processing, the leading travel reservation provider. Jordi Puiggali
CSO and SVP Research & Development
Mr. Puiggali has headed Scytl's Research & Development Department since the formation of the company. Mr. Puiggali has been instrumental in the development of Scytl's technology and intellectual property, co-authoring numerous international patents on application-level cryptography and e-voting security.
Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Puiggali was the Technical Director for PKI and security projects at the IT department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Mr. Puiggali has also actively collaborated with the cryptographic research group of the Department of Computer Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona where he co-directed research projects on PKI and applied cryptography.
Mr. Puiggali is a security expert and has participated as a speaker and lecturer in numerous international conferences on computer security and applied cryptography. Mr. Puiggali has a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.


Mikel Irizar
VP WW Marketing
Mikel Irizar joined Scytl as VP WW Marketing in December 2012 to lead all the marketing efforts for both Scytl and SOE Software. With over 20 years global experience in both large companies and technology start-ups and cross industry experience in global demand generation, Mikel will spearhead Scytl´s election modernization and voting management expansion across territories. Mikel has held marketing executive roles for global players like Silicon Graphics and Symantec leading demand generation and marketing operation efforts. Symantec saw Mikel lead the way in the creation of global demand generation efforts and the optimization of marketing resources for an organization with more than 600 marketing employees. Six years ago, he moved to Europe where he has built and led marketing teams for fast growing start-ups like NTRglobal and SofcloudIT. Mikel has extensive experience successfully building and leading branding, marketing communications, demand generation, market intelligence and product marketing teams. Mikel was one of the founders of MOCCA (Marketing Operations Cross Company Alliance) and the SaaS Council. He holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from San Jose State University.


Ramon Barriga
VP Finance
Mr. Barriga joined Scytl as VP of Finance in March 2004. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Barriga was a consultant on corporate governance issues for institutional investors and publicly-traded companies at Soler Padró Morrow, a prestigious law firm. Previously, Mr. Barriga was Director of Finance and Administration at Asein Ingenieros SL and was actively involved in the international expansion of this Spanish corporation. Mr. Barriga has also held numerous accounting and financial positions in the Swiss pharmaceutical company Sandoz Pharma (now Novartis).
Mr. Barriga is a lecturer and professor of financial analysis at the Catalan Institute of Technology. Mr. Barriga is a European Certified Financial Analyst (CEFA) and has a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona and a Master in Finance from the Institut d'Estudis Financers (IEF).


Onno van Dommelen
VP Strategic Projects
Mr. van Dommelen joined Scytl in February 2004 and is now its VP of Strategic Projects. Mr. van Dommelen is a Dutch national with over 15 years of experience in different senior IT positions for multinational corporations and governments in the United States, Europe and Central America.
Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. van Dommelen was the IT Director of the Robotics Division of Mecalux, one of the world's leading companies in the warehousing system market, where he managed a team of 30 IT professionals. Mr. van Dommelen has a proven record of successfully delivering projects within budget and on time for organizations such as Hewlett Packard, British Petroleum, Royal Dutch Army, Hoogovens Corus and AMC University.
Mr. van Dommelen is an expert in software project management and has extensive knowledge of software development life-cycle methods, software engineering methodologies and processes, software architecture, and programming languages. Mr. van Dommelen has undergraduate studies in Software Engineering from the Dutch Open University and numerous post-graduate courses on quality assurance and software development processes.


Jean Souto
VP WW Sales
Mr. Souto joined Scytl in November 2007 as Director of Sales for France and the French-speaking countries and is currently Scytl's VP WW Sales. Mr. Souto brings with him over 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the IT sector.
Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Souto worked in France and Luxemburg, and spent most of his professional career at CGBI, a large French publicly-traded IT services firm where he held various senior positions and was a member of its Executive Committee. At CGBI, Mr. Souto was Director of the Insurance & Banking business unit which became the highest growth business unit in the company. Prior to this, Mr. Souto worked as Area Manager in Luxemburg and Eastern France which was the most profitable region during the 4 years of Mr. Souto's tenure.
Mr. Souto has a bachelor degree in Information Technology with a post-graduate degree in Business Administration.

Eric Elbhar
VP WW Business Development
Eric Elbhar joined Scytl as Director of Business Development in May 2008 and is responsible for developing and strengthening Scytl's partner network worldwide.
Mr. Elbhar has over 15 years of international sales and marketing experience in the technology sector in companies such as CDC Corporation, Ross Systems, Selligent and Cap Gemini. In these companies, Mr. Elbhar was involved in complex sales processes and in managing the relationships with key partners in countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Morocco, Greece and Latin America.
Mr. Elbhar holds a B.S. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from ENSEA Cergy Pontoise (France). Mr. Elbhar is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Gerard Cervello
VP Operations
Mr. Cervello joined Scytl in September 2001 and is currently the VP of Operations. In his current position, Mr. Cervello is in charge of a team of professionals responsible for pre-sales, project management, post-sales and special consulting projects. Mr. Cervello has extensive experience in the electoral industry, having participated in numerous elections and projects in Europe, Asia and America and having coauthored 12 papers and 3 patents on e-democracy and e-voting.
Prior to Scytl, Mr. Cervello was an expert in web and security applications, having worked for an R&D division of Philips in the United States and ISOCO (an artificial intelligence software company) in Spain. Mr. Cervello holds a Masters degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.


Gabriel Dos Santos
VP Software Engineering
Mr. Dos Santos joined Scytl as Technical Manager in March 2004 and is currently the VP of Software Engineering. In his current position, Mr. Dos Santos is responsible for the software development and engineering of Scytl's family of software solutions and for the implementation of these solutions in commercial projects.
In his previous position at Scytl as Technical Manager for Pnyx.core, Mr. Dos Santos was instrumental in the development and evolution of Scytl's core security solution for Internet voting and participated in numerous projects in Europe, Asia and America.
Mr. Dos Santos has over 10 years of IT experience in software development working for companies in Spain and Argentina in projects for the United Nations, Bank Boston, Banco Sabadell, T-Systems and the Catalan government. Mr. Dos Santos holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Buenos Aires.


Marc Fratello
CEO at SOE and North America General Manager
Marc Fratello joined Scytl as part of the acquisition by Scytl of SOE Software where he was the founder, CEO and President. SOE Software is the leading provider of election management and productivity software solutions in the world. Marc helped create this industry that brought software productivity systems to election departments to enable them to be more productive and efficient in running elections. Under his leadership SOE grew from inception to a company with over 1,400 US customers in 30 states in approximately 8 years.
Prior to founding SOE, Marc was founder and CEO of PowerCerv Corporation, an ERP/CRM software company that was the first to integrate both front and back office management systems and provide those solutions to manufacturers worldwide. Marc took PowerCerv public (Nasdaq) in 1996 and raised $52,000,000 in a very successful and oversubscribed public offering. PCRV was later sold in 2002.
Marc received accolades from Inc. Magazine as Entrepreneur of the Year for Florida in 1996 and from Deloitte and Touche for having the second fastest growing company in Florida over a 5 year period. Marc received a BS degree from Franklin and Marshall College and a MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Andy Tye
General Manager EMEA
Andy Tye joined Scytl in December 2011 as General Manager of its EMEA operations, bringing over fifteen years of international elections experience to the organization. Prior to joining Scytl, he was responsible for sales of election, census and examination solutions at DRS Data Services Ltd., a global leader in data capture systems and software. With direct hands-on experience in international election processes, delivery and operations Mr. Tye has a good knowledge of the various technical considerations in implementing new technology in the elections market place.
He has a technical background and has worked with many in-country partners to secure and deliver IT solutions to both government and private organizations. In recent years Mr. Tye has also had the privilege of being a trusted advisor to the United Nations presenting at many of their international workshops and writing a technical methodology report to assist countries with their IT planning needs.

Edgardo Torres Caballero
General Manager for Latin America & the Caribbea
Edgardo Torres-Caballero has recently joined Scytl as General Manager for Latin America, managing Scytl’s Latin American sales and operations team. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Torres-Caballero was Head of the Government and Public Affairs Advocacy organization for Latin America and the Caribbean region at Hewlett-Packard, having responsibility over corporate policies as well as public sector sales alignment with all Hewlett Packard Business Units (BU) in the region. Mr. Torres-Caballero most recently founded his own company and ran consulting and IT solution sales for Fortune Top 20 companies. Previously, Mr. Torres-Caballero served as Deputy Secretary (Vice Minister level) for Economic Development and Commerce for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and Executive Director of the Port of the Americas Authority also in the Commonwealth's government. Mr. Torres-Caballero has served in multiple public sector senior positions, Board of Directors and Non Profit Organizations during this time, having participated and advanced critical initiatives in science and technology, economic and development strategic initiatives. Mr. Torres-Caballero holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations and Economics from the George Washington University in Washington D.C. and graduate courses from the Fundãçao Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.


Peter Garside
General Manager Asia Pacific
Peter Garside joined Scytl in January 2013 to head up the Scytl business activities in Asia Pacific. Based in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Peter will establish and grow an organization that spans a territory comprising almost 3.5 billion citizens, stretching from Pakistan in the west, to China in the east and New Zealand to the south. Peter is a graduate of the London Business School and has held senior management positions in a number multi-national companies, including IBM, AT&T, Philips & HP. Having lived in Asia for 11 years, Peter has a unique appreciation of the challenges faced by the 21 countries making up the territory, each of which is at a different stage of development. Peter has worked in a variety of industry verticals including defense, telecommunications, medical systems, on-line transaction processing, business process outsourcing, homeland security and biometrics.


Branden Elwell
General Manager for the United States
Mr. Elwell joined SOE (a Scytl Company) in June 2006 as Director of Business Development and is now the General Manager for the United States organization. Playing an integral role in expanding the company’s client base and annual revenues, Mr. Elwell’s role expanded to that of SVP of Business Development where he is responsible for the oversight of all revenue expectations for the Clarity Software Suite. Mr. Elwell was instrumental in the successful sale of SOE to Scytl consummated in January 2012. Mr. Elwell has focused on professional selling and business development for more than 18 years. His vast experience spans many industries, including businesses in the retail, healthcare, and software markets. Mr. Elwell’s track record of success includes expanding new business opportunities and navigating them from concept to multi-million dollar businesses. Mr. Elwell has a bachelor degree in Real Estate from the Florida State University.


Susan Crutchlow
General Manager Canada
Susan Crutchlow joined Scytl as General Manager of its Canadian operations in April 2011, bringing over twenty-five years of sales management, business development and operational experience to the position. Prior to joining Scytl, Susan was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing at Genuit Inc., a leader in Professional Services Automation software. Previously, Susan held senior management positions in organizations such as Gartner, Oracle, Vantive (PeopleSoft / Oracle) and SHL System house (HP/EDS).


Alex Freitas
General Manager Brazil and Peru
Alex Freitas joined Scytl as General Manager for Brazil and Peru. Having opened the first Scytl subsidiary in Brazil, Mr. Freitas leads all the sales and expansion efforts for Scytl in Brazil and Peru, bringing over 28 years of international sales management, business development and operational experience to the organization. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Freitas worked as a consultant, account manager, sales manager, general manager and VP for HP, Oracle and Aruba Networks. As a Senior Consultant, he defined the network topology and infrastructure to support the Brazilian´s electoral process. He has dedicated the last 13 years supporting startup companies in Brazil and South America to establish their operation, go-to-market, PR, and sales objectives. Mr. Freitas has extensive experience in successfully building and leading branding, marketing communications, demand generation, market intelligence and product marketing teams. He holds a BS in Business Administration and System Engineer PUC-RJ – Brazil, post-graduated in Networking and Object Oriented Systems, Executive MBA in FGV-RJ and Ohio University and Senior Executive post-MBA – BPSE in IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland, in addition to technical training in Stanford, MIT, HP Labs, Oracle Labs, Berkley and others.


Rajeev Sood
Rajeev Sood joined Scytl in April 2011 as General Manager of its Indian subsidiary, bringing over 21 years of sales and business development experience to his new position at Scytl. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Sood worked as Head of National eGovernance Projects at IBM India – GB Patch. He was responsible for selling IBM products & services to the Indian Central Government as well as to Indian States. At IBM, Mr. Sood was also closely associated to major eGovernance initiatives in India and helped introduce technology in various citizen services and government process automation projects. Previously, Mr. Sood held senior management positions at SAP India, Ramco Systems and Larsen & Toubro. He has a rich cross-industry background and expertise in the domain of Public Services. Mr. Sood holds a MBA degree from the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad, India and an Engineering degree from the PEC University of Technology in Chandigarh, India.
