A survey shows high acceptance of Internet voting in the Philippines

The Internet voting project carried out by the Commission on Elections of the Philippines (COMELEC) using Scytl’s secure Internet voting technology was successfully closed on August 8. A survey conducted by the COMELEC among participants in the Internet election showed that 94% of them would be willing to cast votes over the Internet in a binding election. According to this survey, 96% of the voters found the system easy-to-use and 92% felt it was secure. The COMELEC was also very satisfied with the security demonstrated by the Internet voting system.
