Australia awards a contract to Scytl to offer e-voting in 2010

Feb 23, 2010

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has selected Scytl and its partner Hewlett-Packard (HP) to provide an enhanced electronic voting system to be used in the State of Victoria’s upcoming 2010 parliamentary elections. The new voting system will be based on the one provided by HP and Scytl for the 2006 elections, and will include new features such as voting terminals connected to a central server via Internet and secure telephone voting. All these channels will be adapted to allow visually impaired voters and non-English reading voters to cast their ballots autonomously with all the security guarantees.
