Sep 29, 2008

The City of Richmond, Virginia’s Capital will use Scytl’s Election Day Management (EDMP) solution in this coming U.S. Presidential Election. According to General Registrar Kirk Showalter, the key reason for using Scytl’s EDMP solution is to augment Virginia’s voter registration system during the forth coming U.S. Presidential Election in order to handle off-line the queries about registration avoiding the long waiting times on the State’s system. In addition, the City will utilize Scytl’s innovative Virginia Voter Assistance SystemTM, a decision support tool that can be modified for use in any State, based on Virginia Election Law, to quickly determine appropriate courses of actions regarding unique or special voter situations which have historically caused confusion and delays on Election Day.
