Greater Sudbury Experiences a 92% Increase in Secure Online Voter Adoption

Ontario, October 30, 2014Scytl, the worldwide leader in secure online voting and election modernization, today announced that Scytl Online Voting was used by the City of Greater Sudbury to provide a secure and accessible alternative voting channel and surpassed the city’s online voting participation goal  during the 2014 Municipal Elections.

Online votes totaled over 26,800 which represents a 92% increase over the online vote volume projected by city officials.  Online voting was available during the advance voting period of October 14- 24  allowing Greater Sudbury citizens to securely cast their ballot anytime, from anywhere on virtually any device (PC, laptop, Smartphone, etc.).
