Ontario, October 30, 2014 — Scytl, the worldwide leader in secure online voting and election modernization, today announced that Scytl Online Voting was used by the City of Greater Sudbury to provide a secure and accessible alternative voting channel and surpassed the city’s online voting participation goal during the 2014 Municipal Elections.
Online votes totaled over 26,800 which represents a 92% increase over the online vote volume projected by city officials. Online voting was available during the advance voting period of October 14- 24 allowing Greater Sudbury citizens to securely cast their ballot anytime, from anywhere on virtually any device (PC, laptop, Smartphone, etc.).
