Raoul Roverato joins Scytl as the new CEO, while the business prepares for another year of significant growth and investment following its acquisition by Grenadier Holdings (formerly Paragon Group), after growing more than 50% in fiscal year 2023 (ending June 30th).
With a Master of Science degree from the École Polytechnique in France and a Master’s in Telecommunications from Telecom Paris, Roverato spent over 20 years at Orange where, amongst other roles, he was General Manager of the B2B Business Unit in Spain (where he managed a €1 billion P&L), and Executive VP of New Growth Businesses for the group (where he generated €250 million of revenue).
Most recently, Roverato was also CEO of Firmaprofesional, a Spanish leader in the digital signature market. Roverato led the sale of Firmaprofesional to private equity group MCH in 2022. Throughout his more than 25 years of experience, the new CEO of Scytl has also held the position of Chief Operations Officer in two startups: Biome Makers (agriculture) and Worldsensing (Industrial IOT).
Raoul Roverato replaces Silvia Caparrós, the previous CEO of Scytl, who will continue to be linked to the company and its parent company Innovative Solutions Ecosystems S.A. as an advisor to the Board of Directors. Under her leadership as CEO, a position she assumed in 2018, the firm has reaffirmed itself as a leader in digital voting and electoral modernization.
For Roverato, “being part of a project like Scytl is an exciting challenge. The combination of its extensive experience in the sector with a team characterized by its talent and determination has managed to place the company as an international reference, powering democracy for more than two decades with innovative solutions of high differential value”.

A Renewed Team
Scytl also announces Carlos Montes as Chief Operating Officer. Montes will be responsible for the daily operations to meet the growing business’ needs and objectives. His more than 30 years of professional experience has seen Montes drive critical technology projects for leading clients in energy, health, and government. For his entire career, Montes has operated in complex and high-risk environments in Spain, Europe, South Africa, LATAM and the Middle East. Among his previous positions, Montes was Director of Quality and Risk for Accenture. In that role, he delivered large scale IT projects for Public Sector and Health clients for 29 years such as the Ministry of Defense of France, the Irish government, and the European Space Agency. Later, he was appointed as Director of Global Quality Assurance at Ayesa, driving large technology projects in Spain and Latin America.
In addition, Ben Fagg, who until now has been Scytl’s Vice President of Business Development, will assume the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Since joining Scytl in 2007, Fagg has led projects around the world, helping governments successfully incorporate electoral modernization technologies into their electoral processes. In his new position, he is responsible for a global team of professionals specializing in Sales and Marketing focused on election modernization.
