Scytl awarded a contract to provide its Internet voting technology to the French Ministry of Education

Mar 7, 2011

Scytl and its partner Atos Origin have been selected by the French government to provide a secure Internet voting solution to both the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Universities.  In October 2011, 1.3 million employees from these two Ministries will be allowed for the first time to cast their votes over the Internet – the only voting channel authorized – for the election of their representatives in 700 simultaneous elections managed by 35 electoral boards. This will be the largest and most complex election ever carried out over the Internet in France. Besides its secure Internet voting system, Scytl will also provide an innovative on-line voter registration system for this election.   Scytl is also working in France with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which uses Scytl’s platform for the voting of overseas citizens on a regular basis.
