Oct 19, 2009

Scytl has been nominated to the prestigious ‘2009 ebiz government’ award, together with its partners Bundesrechenzentrum, e-Voting.CC, IVM and the Technical University of Vienna, for carrying out the first binding Internet election in Austria. In May 2009, approximately 250,000 students from 21 Universities were able to cast their votes over the Internet during the Austrian University elections. In this innovative project, Scytl provided its election management system (EMS/RCP) and its Internet voting platform (Pnyx), which were audited and certificated by an independent certification agency. This award is organized by the Austrian Chancellery, the Plattform Digitales Österreich and the Report Verlag.
