Scytl has announced the successful implementation of Scytl’s online & phone voting technology in the 2018 Ontario Municipal Elections. Scytl’s technology has been used by over 50% of the municipalities opting for electronic voting in this election, including the City of Markham and the Town of Newmarket plus another 101 small and medium-sized municipalities in alliance with Halifax-based Intelivote, as announced earlier this year.
Scytl’s online and phone voting technology has enabled over 1 million eligible voters to securely cast their votes electronically, ensuring the efficient, timely and transparent publication of the final results within less than 10 minutes (on average) after the closing of the polling stations. With this new milestone, Scytl’s online and phone voting solution positions itself as the number one technology used in Ontario elections.
