Scytl shared its unique experience with over 150 electoral experts during the 27th Annual Conference and General Assembly Meeting of the Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO) that took place in Vilnius, Lithuania on 5-7 September 2018, with ‘Guaranteeing Voter Privacy, Security and Integrity’ as main topic.

During the roundtable discussion on voter privacy, Adrià Rodríguez-Pérez, Public Policy Researcher at Scytl, presented how privacy and secrecy are preserved in internet voting systems. He also analysed the challenges that the use of technology poses to traditional paper-based elections and discussed how citizens may be willing to use technology to make their choices public.

The ACEEEO is a non-governmental organization that supports the operation of permanent election commissions and offices and actively contributes to the establishment of legal standards regarding the requirements for democratic elections.
