Nov 29, 2006

Scytl, in partnership with Hewlett Packard, has carried out the first e-voting election in the State of Victoria (Australia) during their parliamentary election. In this election, blind and visually impaired voters could for the first time cast votes from electronic voting terminals with total privacy and without needing the assistance from third parties. The voting centers equipped with electronic voting terminals were opened for a period of two weeks and the final tallying of the votes took place at the Victoria Electoral Commission’s headquarters in Melbourne on November 25.
