The fully verifiable online voting solution developed by Scytl and Swiss Post has been put to a resilience testing, also known as a public intrusion test (PIT) that will last from February 25th to March 24th, 2019. This public intrusion test will run in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss Confederation and cantons.
The test will allow hackers and other independent IT specialists to put the system to the test with deliberate attacks using the source code as support and submit their findings until March 25th.
This initiative is unprecedented in the election industry. Scytl and Swiss Post believe that only a transparent online voting solution can be successful in the long term.
