Scytl to carry out first Internet election in the Philippines

Feb 12, 2007

The Commission on Elections of the Philippines (COMELEC) has awarded a contract to Scytl to carry out the first Internet election in the Philippines. The approximately 30,000 Philippine overseas absentee voters registered in Singapore will be able to vote through Scytl’s secure Internet voting platform in a citizen consultation that will take place from July 10 through 30. Scytl has been selected as a result of its innovative e-voting security technology after a thorough due diligence process undertaken by COMELEC.
