Scytl to provide online voting to Auckland Council, New Zealand

Feb 4, 2013

Scytl, in partnership with New Zealand based company Independent Election Services, will provide its secure online voting solution to Auckland Council during the 2013 Kids Voting elections. More than 13,000 underage students will be invited to participate in a non-binding election and vote for their mayor, council members and local board. Voting will take place in September 2013, during the actual local government elections and results will be published on October 13th. Being the first online voting initiative of this kind in New Zealand, this project is aimed at raising awareness about new voting channels and get younger generations familiarized with online voting technologies.
