Scytl’s new security tool to be presented at MIKE 6th International Conference

Dec 13, 2018

Scytl will present a newly developed security tool at the Mining Intelligence and Knowledge Exploration 2018 Congress (MIKE 2018) that will be held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania on 20-22 December 2018.

During the conference David Salvador, Security Analyst at Scytl, will present the paper co-written with Jordi Cucurull, and Pau Julià, entitled: “wraudit: A Tool to Transparently Monitor Web Resources Integrity”. Online voting presents a challenge with regard to securing voter privacy and integrity. In order to add an extra layer of security, wraudit can perform frequent and randomized scans of the published web resources, disguising its presence as a regular user to avoid being detected as a bot. This process makes it possible for wraudit to monitor web resources and to ensure that no attacker can modify them.

MIKE 2018 is an interdisciplinary conference that brings together researchers and practitioners from the domains of learning algorithms, data mining, machine learning, knowledge exploration, large-scale data analytics, big data, soft computing and information systems, among other topics.
