For the fifth consecutive year, and after successful deployments of Scytl Online Voting in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015, the Municipality of Girona has again leveraged online voting for their 2019 online participatory budgeting consultation from November 18th to December 2nd, 2019. The consultation was carried out 100% online with over 83.000 potential voters and citizens of Girona.
Participation rates with online voting have doubled in comparison with 2014 and 2013, when the only voting channel was paper, helping to demonstrate that new technologies encourage citizen engagement.
