Scytl to provide its e-voting technology to the State of Victoria (Australia)

Sep 27, 2010

The Australian State of Victoria has awarded the second phase of their electoral modernization program to Scytl that will provide electronic voting during their upcoming parliamentary elections. This year, Scytl will equip a higher number of polling places with voting kiosks and telephone voting; both of them being available in 12 languages, as well as a central system to collect all the votes cast electronically. The use of electronic voting systems is aimed at enfranchising Victoria’s visually impaired voters and ensuring that they will be able to cast vote autonomously. Some mobile voting centers will also be implemented to help hospitalized voters and elderly people cast their votes.
