OAS FCU’s policy is to act in the common interest of its members and, as a key element in the credit union environment, this includes having free, inclusive and fair elections. Scytl has provided its online voting solution to OAS FCU annually from 2016 to 2020 in order to increase member participation in electing its Board of Directors and Credit Committee.
Over the years, with over 8,500 members worldwide from groups like the Organization of American States, National Geographic and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), among others, OAS FCU has managed to increase global voter participation through online voting, something they consider extremely important as 30% of their members reside outside the United States.
