Norway goes a step forward towards a full Internet voting deployment

Dec 17, 2012

Following the successful Internet voting trial carried out during the 2011 Municipal Elections, the Norwegian Government announced it will carry out new Internet voting pilots during the 2013 General elections with Scytl’s technology. The evaluation of the 2011 experience showed that voters had high confidence in Scytl’s Internet voting system and 92 % of the online voters believed it was easy and convenient. The 2013 pilot project will be implemented in 12 municipalities, including new participants to the 2011 trial. Scytl’s technology will also be tested by the Norwegian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired to ensure the highest accessibility standards to voters with disabilities.
