Scytls e-voting technology used in federal consultation in Switzerland

The Swiss canton of Neuchâtel has successfully used Scytl’s Pnyx.core to allow its citizens to cast binding votes online in a federal consultation. The period to cast votes over the Internet remained open for 4 weeks and ended on March 11, 2007. Pnyx.core provided end-to-end security (from the voter to the Electoral Board) and allowed voters by means of a voting receipt to individually verify that their votes had been counted.
