Scytl successfully carries out first Internet voting election in Mexico

Jul 9, 2012

The Electoral Commission of Mexico City (IEDF) has introduced for the first time Internet voting in an election in Mexico during the state elections that took place on July 1st.  The IEDF chose Scytl’s Internet voting technology to carry out this pioneering project because of Scytl’s unique security and worldwide references. Internet voting was available as a voting channel to Mexican overseas voters residing in over 800 cities outside Mexico for a period of 4 days prior to the July 1st Election Day.  The project was considered as an astounding success by the election authorities, the political parties and the organizations representing Mexican citizens residing abroad.
